We started in 2014 with two people and a car boot full of cloths in Lenton. Today 38 cleaners work from our yard off the canal, and every one of them cleans to the same checklist.

Why we started
Clean should mean the same thing every time
Our founder spent six years cleaning for agencies that sent a different person every week, each with their own idea of done. Clients never knew what they were paying for, so they argued about it.
Briskwell is built around the fix: a written checklist for every kind of clean, the same cleaner on the same day, and a note after each visit. If something on the list was missed, we go back. That is most of the business.
How we hire
Who will be in your home?
The question every client asks first, so here is the full answer.

Employed, not sub-contracted
Every cleaner is on our payroll with holiday pay and sick pay. Nobody turns up who we have not trained.

Checked before the first shift
An enhanced DBS check, two references and a right-to-work check, renewed every three years.

Two weeks on the checklist
New starters shadow a senior cleaner for ten working days before they clean on their own.

Kit we choose
Colour-coded microfibre for kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms, washed at 60° after every visit.
Where we clean
Home cleans across the city and the surrounding towns. End-of-tenancy and office work further out on request.
